Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to provide support to our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions, property laws, legal principles, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and revise commercial real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, sales contracts, and deeds.
- Conduct research on legal matters relating to commercial real estate to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage and update all the firm's commercial property files, records, and legal documentation.
- Coordinate closings, including preparing and reviewing closing documents, due diligence items, and other related materials.
- Assist in title examinations, title insurance matters, and resolving any title defects.
- Work closely with the attorneys in the preparation and filing of legal documents with courts and other legal authorities.
- Facilitate communication between relevant parties, including attorneys, clients, brokers, outside counsel, and public authorities.
- Stay current with latest local, state and federal regulations impacting commercial real estate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Paralegal certification or degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate transactions, preferably in the commercial field.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, contract law, and the real estate transactional process.
- Proficient in using legal document management software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
